More about the Conference

The Ontario Coaches Conference welcomes more than 400 amateur coaches from across the province, ranging from community volunteers to full-time professional coaches. The Conference has become a can’t-miss event on the provincial sport event calendar since 2007, involving coaches from as many as 50 sporting disciplines, including those working with Olympic and Paralympic athletes.

Conference highlights include inspirational keynote speakers, National Coaching Certification Program clinics, unique networking opportunities and a showcase of  coaching-related vendors (2014 Trade Show Vendor Application). The CAO is pleased to be bringing this one-of-a-kind experience to eastern Ontario for the first time, and having the opportunity to work with the many community-based organizations that make Kingston such a nurturing environment for sport.

“Sport is important in our community and we are thrilled to be hosting coaches from across the province as they discuss best practices, instruction and resources to see our athletes excel at the provincial, national and international levels.” – Kingston Mayor Mark Gerretsen

NCCP Workshops

All NCCP workshops are priced individually and run concurrent to the conference. You do not need a development session registration to take an NCCP course. However…

If you are taking a one day NCCP course consider attending the personal development part of the conference on the other weekend day. The Conference was designed with single day pass options specifically to give coaches this opportunity.

“This conference will be a wonderful opportunity for the coaching community to come together as a group to share best practices and celebrate successes. It will also showcase the beauty and hospitality of the Kingston area, while also growing the local economy.” - John Gerretsen, MPP for Kingston and The Islands. On behalf of the Government of Ontario

The Ontario Coaches Conference is hosted by the Coaches Association of Ontario with the generous support of the Ontario government. Thanks to funding received through the Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Sport’s Quest for Gold program, Ontario coaches are able to participate in this professional development opportunity at a subsidized cost.
