Administrative Questions Index
How do I register for a course?
Course details will include registration information. This will be either a link to an online registration or host contact information. The method of registration will vary depending on the host and sport.
How much does a course cost?
This varies depending on sport, course type/level, as well as each host's location. Prices are given in event details. For exact pricing, contact the registrar for your desired course.
Multi-Sport courses typically cost between $80 and $120.
I can't attend any of the courses listed.
For sport specific courses, contact your provincial sport organization.
Multi-Sport courses can be taken via correspondence. Click here for more information.
How long is the course, it only shows one day?
The calendar only identifies the start date of the course. For exact dates and time check the details section of the event. To do this, click on its location.
At what point will I be given credit for completing a course?(Multi-Sport Only)
As soon as you have finished the course you can be considered "trained." However, this will not officially appear on your NCCP transcript until the administration is complete. Generally, this process takes 4 - 6 weeks and involves entry in the national database. The CAO may be able to verify your trained status during this period if required. Coaches will only be considered "certified" when they have gone through a formal evaluation process after the course.
I am a new coach. When will I receive my NCCP number? (Multi-Sport Only)
You will be assigned a number by the Coaching Association of Canada and mailed a completion card within 4 - 6 weeks of the course.
