Thank you to everyone who joined us at the Sheraton Parkway North hotel in Richmond Hill for the 2015 Ontario Coaches Conference. It was an amazing weekend of learning, sharing and connecting with Coaches from every level and all sports across Ontario.

Bottom from left: Shane Joseph, presenter of Saturday’s Coach or Mentor session, Derek Virgo (Strength and Conditioning Program Director for Bill Crothers Secondary School) helps Coaches understand Conditioning Young Bodies, and Martin Lemay in action as Coaches learn how teamwork makes formation sky diving possible.
After a welcome by the Honorable Michael Coteau (Minister of Tourism, Culture and Sport – pictured bottom right), Fundraiser, adventurer and part time Super Hero Jamie McDonald wowed the crowd and received a standing ovation for his amazing Keynote Address about running across Canada to raise money for children’s hospitals and unleashing the Super Hero within each of us. Coaches laughed and cried at this powerful keynote, and the capes were enjoyed by all.
The Saturday evening Coaches Social was a real show-stopper! The Honorable Michael Chan (Citizenship, Immigration and International Trade and MPP for Markham-Unionville) introduced the evening and Coaches enjoyed a fantastic synchronized swimming show put on by the young athletes from the Granite Synchro Club. Then it was time for Pickleball in the gym! Everyone loved getting a sneak peek at the beautiful Markham Pan Am Sport Centre.
