In celebration of National Coaches Week in Ontario this year, the Coaches Association of Ontario (CAO) has partnering with host communities from across the province to deliver NCCP Community Clinics, which aim to recruit, develop, educate and celebrate community volunteer coaches!
These workshops are being provided to coaches at SUPER Discounted rates thanks to partnerships with Renfrew Parks and Recreation, Xperience Gymnastics Club, Investors Group, and the Coaching Association of Canada.

Make Ethical Decisions Workshop – 6pm-10pm – ONLY $10
By successfully completing the 3.5-hour Make Ethical Decisions workshop you will be fully equipped to handle virtually any ethical situation with confidence and surety. MED is one of the NCCP’s cornerstone workshops, and leaves coaches with no doubt as to what to do when the going gets tough. Upon completing the MED module you’ll be able to: analyze a challenging situation and determine if it has moral, legal or ethical implications; and apply the NCCP Ethical Decision-Making Model to properly respond to each situation in a way that is consistent with the NCCP Code of Ethics.

Fundamental Movement Skills Workshop – 9am-5pm- ONLY $20
The Fundamental Movement Skills of throwing, catching, jumping, striking, running, kicking, agility, balance and coordination, form the basis for future sport skill development and for the life-long enjoyment of physical activity. After this workshop you will be able to: Analyze and identify the various stages of development for the fundamental movement skills; Apply a six-step process to teaching the fundamental movement skills; and Create safe games where children can practice fundamental movement skills.

Gymnastics Foundation Participants
- Coaches must be at least 15 years of age to register for Gymnastics .
- Coaches must also bring their online Risk Management Part A certificate of completion to the course.
- All coaches must be registered with Gymnastics Ontario to take part in association sanctioned courses. Gymnastics Ontario member clubs register their coaches with Gymnastics Ontario.
