CAO will be delivering four NCCP modules – for free until March 31st, 2024 as part of the Coaching Association of Canada’s Mental Health and Sport project. The goal of the Mental Health and Sport project is to improve the mental health literacy of coaches in Canada by increasing the accessibility of – NCCP modules focused on the topic of mental health. An online Mental Health Resource Hub has also been created.
The Coaching Association of Canada (CAC) has developed and created a Mental Health and Sport Resource Hub. It is a free, online portal of mental health resources from subject matter experts. The goal is to empower and equip coaches and sport leaders with educational resources to increase their mental health literacy, both with a focus on self-care and supporting their sport participants. New resources will be added regularly and will include eLearning modules, infographics, activities, research papers, videos, and workshops on various topics related to mental health. NCCP Modules
The grant covers 100% of the costs associated with the course (facilitator, materials, venue booking, etc.). Coaches have the potential to positively impact the children and youth they coach. The NCCP modules available through this grant will inspire and guide conversations, making mental health an integral part of sport.
