CAO and Human Kinetics Partner to Enhance Professional Development Opportunities and celebrate the impact of coaches across Ontario.
WINDSOR, ON – September 9, 2024 – The Coaches Association of Ontario (CAO) and Human Kinetics Canada are thrilled to announce a new partnership designed to advance coaching education. This collaboration will provide coaches with enhanced access to leading resources in sport, fitness, physical activity, and kinesiology, significantly expanding professional development opportunities and celebrating coaching excellence throughout the province.
Jake Rondot, Managing Director of Human Kinetics Canada, expressed enthusiasm about the new partnership, stating, “Our collaboration with the CAO represents a significant step forward in our commitment to supporting coaches and promoting excellence in sports education. We look forward to providing coaches with access to a wealth of resources, from traditional print and digital materials to innovative online courses and webinars.”
Human Kinetics, a global leader in physical activity content, will contribute its extensive expertise and resources to this partnership. Coaches will gain exclusive access to an expanded library of over 75 Human Kinetics courses, which provide valuable professional development credits. These resources are now available in the CAO course catalog found here.
This collaboration will cover a broad spectrum of topics in sport, fitness, and physical activity, essential for enhancing coaching skills and knowledge.

The partnership will officially launch with a series of events and initiatives beginning with the Ontario Coaching Excellence Awards and National Coaches Week coming September 16-22, 2024. This year marks the 10th annual National Coaches Week, where Canadians say #ThanksCoach for the tremendous positive impact they have on the lives of all participants. In Ontario, 1 in 7 adults is actively involved in coaching, with as many as 75% volunteering their services.
