Home Study Program:

In the Home Study program, coaches will be asked to complete a series of exercises and tasks in the workbook and submit it for marking to an NCCP accredited Learning Facilitator. The length of time to complete a Home Study varies by course and learning style of the individual. The Home Study format relies heavily on self-directed learning.

All courses are given a 2 month completion period. Please contact CAO should you require an extension.

Course Description:

This is a Competition Introduction multi-sport course.

By successfully completing the NCCP Make Ethical Decisions training, coaches will be fully equipped to handle ethical situations with confidence and surety. The training helps coaches identify the legal, ethical, and moral implications of difficult situations that present themselves in the world of team and individual sport. Upon completing the NCCP Make Ethical Decisions training, coaches will be able to:

  • analyze a challenging situation and determine if it has moral, legal or ethical implications; and
  • apply the NCCP Ethical Decision-Making Model to properly respond to situations in a way that is consistent with the NCCP Code of Ethics.

Important Registration Information:

  • Coaches must be 14 or older to access NCCP multi-sport training in Ontario
  • NO REFUNDs will be provided for home study programs. All registration administration and marker fees are paid immediately to service providers upon completion of registration
  • This program will utilize eMaterials. In order to successfully complete a Home Study you must have access to Microsoft Word Compatible Software and PDF reader.
  • All NCCP materials are copyrighted and cannot be reproduced or redistributed without consent.
