McMaster Performance is hosting its second annual Performance & Wellness Workshop June 10-11, 2023.

A collaborative event led by the Department of Kinesiology and the McMaster Performance unit, the McMaster Performance & Wellness Workshop will host members of the McMaster and Greater Hamilton communities interested in the fields of physical therapy and rehab, sport performance, fitness, teaching, exercise research, and wellness.

Following an incredible inaugural event in 2022, this year’s workshop will consist of valuable classroom-style content, hands-on sessions, opportunities to hear from guest speakers from academia and industry, and quality networking time with leading professionals.

The aim of this event is to:

  • Provide a well-rounded professional development day for therapists, sport scientists, coaches, teachers, personal trainers, and students striving to pursue these professions.
  • Introduce undergraduate students to these exciting and emerging fields and network these students with established members of the community.
  • Provide exemplary undergraduate students with awards to take part in the collaborative experiential learning and research within the sport performance and medicine services with Marauder athletic teams and student athletes.
  • Demonstrate the effectiveness and impact of this collaborative learning and translational research environment through providing students with opportunities to display and present their research during this event.
