NCCP Planning a Practice

Online Course Information:

This is a live, NCCP Learning Facilitator led interactive group-based course offered online. You will be required to communicate and complete group work with other coaches. You must have your own computer with a headset containing a built-in microphone.

Coaches that login when the course content has started will not be allowed to participate and will be ejected from the course.

July 29, 2024, from 7:00 pm – 9:45 pm EST

July 30, 2024, from 7:00 pm – 9:45 pm EST

*Coaches must attend both dates to receive credit

Course Description:

This is a Competition Introduction multi-sport course. By completing the NCCP Planning a Practice module you will be able to:

• Organize a well-structured practice plan with safe, age-appropriate activities you’ve designed to match the proficiency level of participants;
• Identify potential risk factors that could impact the sport and practice activities;
• Create an emergency action plan;
• Identify practice goals and design activities that offer the best training benefits for the athletic skills required in your sport.

Important Registration Information:

• Transfers or cancellations with fewer than five (5) days’ notice are subject to a $25 charge. Please see our Cancellation and Refund Policy for more information.
• Participants must be in a proper learning environment with access to the platform and course materials simultaneously. Please do not attend while you are driving or the facilitator will ask you to leave and you will not receive a refund.
• These courses are open to ONTARIO RESIDENTS aged 14 years and older. If you are currently residing in another Province or Territory please contact your local NCCP Provincial/Territorial Coaching Representatives (PTCRs) to get approval before registering. • This course may be postponed if registration minimums are not reached.
• This program will utilize eMaterials. All NCCP materials are copyrighted and cannot be reproduced or redistributed without consent.
