Funding for Sport Organizations

Overview

These Coaching Enhancement initiatives aim to ensure that Ontario’s developmental and high-performance athletes receive the best coaching possible, by delivering financial assistance to Provincial Sport Organizations (PSOs) and School Athletic Sport Organizations (SASOs) for coach-related costs.

Funding is available in 3 programs: Apprentice Coach Programs, Coach Developer Training and Coach Development Enhancement.

In each category, sports can apply for a para and able-bodied program once each per fiscal year. The funding cycle runs from April-March annually

Funding in this category provides financial support for training and development of coaches through apprentice/mentor partnerships. The goal is to develop more coaches to work with elite and high performance athletes in Ontario. Full Program Guidelines
