Swim Ontario, along with the Ontario Cerebral Palsy Sport Association will be hosting a Multi-Para Sport Try It Day on Sunday April 23 in London, ON.
From 9am – 12pm, they will be hosting a Becoming Para Ready Workshop for Coaches, Administrators and anyone wanting to learn more about how to make their sports programming more accessible to athletes experiencing disability.
Led by Dr. Tim Konoval (Steadward Centre, University of Alberta) this workshop aims to give coaches/leaders the tools to welcome and train all athletes experiencing disability. Coaches/leaders will learn how to develop and deliver accessible, inclusive sport programs through specific tasks and challenges. The workshop will be underpinned by the most recent version of The Steadward Centre’s Becoming Para Ready framework, BPR 2.0.
