Mark. is passionate and proactive about the enhancement of physical literacy in health, education, recreation and sport. His experiences include 21 years as an educator and consultant in Physical Education and Health, curriculum writer, university strength and conditioning coach, and various university and volunteer coaching positions. His athletic pursuits included five years as a professional athlete in the CFL with the Hamilton Tiger Cats and Edmonton Eskimos and more recently amateur endurance athlete. His love of physical education and sport has solidified his belief that physical literacy is the vehicle that leads to lifelong movement and optimal health.
Whether you’re a Learning Facilitator, Coach Evaluator, Master Coach Developer or somewhere in between, this year’s CDPD weekend is designed just for YOU.

MCDs Suzanne Chaulk and Adam Sollitt facilitate conversation about Diversity and Inclusion for Coach Developers. These seasoned Master CDs will present various scenarios and help you ensure everyone feels welcomed and included at the next NCCP course you facilitate.

Special Guest and Keynote speaker Mark Verbeek teams up with CAC’s Peter Niedre for this LF-specific PD session about Making Physical Literacy real in multi-sport and sport-specific LF roles. Discussion includes LTAD and Physical Literacy in the NCCP, and changing the sport-specific coach philosophy.
9:00am – 12:00pm – Mentoring through the CE Process – Facilitated by: Beth Barz and Adam Sollitt
A Mentorship discussion tailored to the role of Coach Evaluators. Evaluation isn’t just a one and done process. It’s so much more than just ticking the boxes.

CDPD 2017: The Professional Coach Developer – Wrap-up!
October 20-22, 2017 was the 11th annual Coach Developer Professional Development (CDPD) training weekend at the beautiful Kingbridge Conference Centre in King City. It was an inspiring weekend of leadership, growth and development for over 110 coach developers from across Ontario.
Over 65 Coach Developers dedicated their day to growing and learning as part of Friday’s Coach Evaluator and Manage a Sport Program workshops.
The annual Coach Developer Professional Development (CDPD) training weekend brings together Coach Developers from a multitude of different sports, contexts and parts of Ontario for a weekend of training, growth and development.
